A NORDIC WINTER JOURNEY
Kung Bore

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Kung Bore is a quiet journey into a Nordic winter night. The camera follows a winding river through snow-covered valleys while aurora curtains shift above the mountains. There is nothing you need to steer. Sit back, listen and let the night draw you in.
A small, elusive light leads the way. Snow drifts through the cold air, mist gathers along the water and moonlight catches the ice. Ahead, a mountain-sized King of Winter sits carved into the rock, his staff glowing like a distant beacon.
The project explores how a digital place can feel calm, lonely and mysterious at the same time. Its visual language draws on Nordic folklore and the flowing, dreamlike imagery of 1970s art.
The landscape, sky and weather are built from procedural systems, combined with a sculpted figure and scanned rocks. Water reflections, slowly drifting camera movement and original music bring the journey together in the browser.
Original music from Quirkado, performed by AI. Kung Bore is a living experiment, with a public version available to explore.
