RetroTrakk

RetroTrakk is a native music tracker for macOS, built around the direct, pattern-based way of making music that helped define an earlier era of home computing. Notes, instruments and rhythms come together in a grid, turning small patterns into complete songs.

The project brings that hands-on approach to a modern Mac, with keyboard and MIDI input, samples, Audio Unit instruments and WAV export. It is another part of Quirkado's work: using new tools to bring old creative magic into everyday use.

Claude, in its different versions, is a central creative and development tool, alongside Suno, Blender, Midjourney, ChatGPT and Grok. For RetroTrakk, that working process meets the Mac's native audio and MIDI capabilities.

RetroTrakk is being developed as a Mac application. A public download is not available yet.
